Lewis Stone
Lewis Stone made more films with Garbo than any other actor. All together, they appeared in seven films together. Stone was 50 when he first appeared with Garbo in A Woman Of Affairs .
Stone was born November 15, 1879. He started his acting career on Broadway and entered films in 1915. He served in World War I and returned to resume his career playing dignified men usually as romantic leads. All together, he made almost 200 films during his career. He received an Oscar nomination in 1928 for The Patriot.
He died in 1953 of a heart attack while chasing intruders from his property. He was 73.
